Blogging Again...Nate's Birthday

After a busy summer of selling our house and moving to a new one, I'm going to finally catch up on the blog, starting with Nate's Birthday. I am so grateful for Nate. He does so much for me and our family without thinking of himself or what he wants. Our move is a perfect example. If he had his way we would've moved closer to Salt Lake so he could be closer to his work, where he already spends a lot of time even without the commute. But, he knows where we are is the right place for our family right now. I love his humor and the way he makes our kids and me laugh, even when we don't want to, which is why it's so great. He has a love for others that not everyone sees and has taught me a lot about what it means to serve others. I love you Nate!

American Girl Doll Fashion Show

Lia and Laura were able to participate in an American Girl Doll Company fashion show that was sponsored by our dentist's office. They were so excited!! Lia wore one of Kit's outfits and Laura wore a Bitty Baby outfit. They looked so cute and had a great time! (Sorry about the sideways pictures again, once I figure out how to fix them, I will. I don't know if it's my computer or blogger or me that can't seem to rotate them the right way.)

Graduation

I'm still trying to catch up from a busy spring. So, here are the pictures from Nate's graduation. It was a great couple of days! We are so proud of Nate! He loved everything about his experience at BYU. We are glad to be done and grateful to be staying here near family and friends, but we will always look back on the whole experience, including our time in Portland, with great memories.

Graduation Party

The end of the school year for Nate brought all kinds of parties! This was the first, the closing social.
This is Nate's friend Andy from India. Everyone in the program loved Andy.
Nate and me with our friends Ben and Jamie Dana.

Our friends Elaine and Stephen from Australia.
 The graduating class.
Nate's good friends Ryan and Stephen.
Nate with his "Head Sherpa." The sherpas helped mentor the first year students.

Disneyland-Part 2

We spent three days in Disneyland and California Adventure, which meant we were able to do things we haven't had time for before, like the canoes and Tom Sawyer Island. Megan was so cute on the Toy Story ride in California Adventure. She had to hold onto her 3D glasses the whole time and didn't hit a thing, but she loved it! She also loved seeing the princesses in the parade. Josh's favorite part of the whole trip was getting his double light saber. Laura's favorite ride was Soarin' Over California and Lia loved all the "big" rides like Tower of Terror. We had a great time! We can't wait to go back...in a few years when Megan's old enough to go on everything and on a non-holiday weekend.
