Counting Down the Days to Christmas with the Nelsons

We had an early Christmas Eve party with Janet's family at the Winzeler's and we also went to the Children's Museum at Thanksgiving Point with the Nelson cousins.

Barson Christmas Party

Kristen hosted the Barson Family "Christmas Eve" party. My mom and her new husband Steve came and it was okay. It was different and a little sad, but it was okay. The kids had a great time though! I don't think we've ever had a nativity where all the kids participated. They were so cute together and I left feeling so grateful for my siblings and their families.

Lia's "Cans for Cocoa"

In December Lia had a "Cans for Cocoa" food drive. She saw the idea in the Friend Magazine and organized the event. She made and passed out fliers, helped make the hot chocolate, and set everything up (with help from Laura and Megan). We collected almost 100 cans and delivered them to the Utah Food Bank a few days later. I was so proud of her for putting it all together!

Tabernacle Choir Concert

Megan got invited to go to the Tabernacle Choir Concert with Audrey and Lucy. The Muppets were performing with the choir and she was so excited! We all went downtown together and also saw the windows at the Grand America while we were down there. Megan was very serious about filling out her paper at the Grand America. Lia was also excited that night to be sporting her new (not real) glasses again.

Mid December

The middle of December brought silly smiles, indoor snowmen, picking up cousins at the airport, and crazy hair day at school. 

First Ski Day of the Season

The kids were so excited for our first ski day! There wasn't a lot of snow, but we had a great time! We packed lunches and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and I was so impressed with how well the kids did.
