Skiing with Cousins

I got to take Audrey, Lucy, Nora and Megan skiing on a weekend in March. They were so cute and are all great skiers! We had a fun day. 

 

Amelia's 18th Birthday

Lia turned 18 in March!! She is now officially an adult, which feels really strange. Megan wanted to make her a cake and it turned out so cute! We opened presents before school and then Nate and I took her to lunch after school. That night we had her favorite dinner and she had a few visitors stop by. And that weekend her friends took her out for dinner and shopping and to spend the night at a hotel. We loved celebrating Lia! One of her birthday presents was a trip to Boston with Nate and me. I'll post about that soon.

Lia is such a joy. She is always thinking of nice things to do for other people, she's very diligent at reading her scriptures and writing in her journal, she's very creative, she's a natural leader and an entrepeneur, she loves Ollie, and she's a good friend. I'm so grateful she came first to pave the way for her younger sisters and brother. I don't know where the last 18 years have gone but we've loved every minute of having Lia in our lives. We are so excited to see all the great things she will do!

 

End of February

At the end of February, Josh got his braces off (he looks great!!) and we went down to St. George with our friends the Bronsons to try out our new dirt bikes. Nate had made a deal with Josh almost a year before to earn a dirt bike. Josh worked REALLY hard to earn his bike. The little green one is for the girls and I to share (because we aren't as into it as Josh and Nate). Megan got the hang of it pretty quickly, Josh is a natural, and Nate did great on his bike which is not easy to manage. Also in February, we got a ton of snow which Ollie loved, we had Janet and Kent over for dinner for Janet's 70th Birthday, we welcomed my niece Alyson home from her mission, we said good bye to Brady who went back to Paraguay on his mission, and Lia's friend Eric got his mission call to Tahiti. 

Valentine's and Galentine's

In February we had our Valentine's dinner and the girls had their "Galentine's Party." It was Lia and Laura's idea and Megan got to join in too. They bought all the stuff and decorated. Megan had her party in the morning and Lia and Laura had their party that night. Everything was so cute and they had a lot of fun!

 

Skiing and Sledding with the Nelsons

Nate and I got to go skiing together and then we went sledding with the Nelsons up Millcreek Canyon. Even Ollie got to come. It was a lot of fun and good to get outside!

Preference Dance

Because of covid, most of the school dances were cancelled for the year. So Lia and her friends planned their own. We found them a place to hold it and the other moms helped with the set up and take down. They had a fun night and I was so glad they were able to do something! Lia went with her friend Conner and had a great time with him!
