Hermana Nelson Turns 20

Amelia and Hermana Rencher had birthdays just one day apart. They were so excited when they realized that and when they found out they'd still be companions on their birthdays so they could celebrate together. And they loved serving with Hermana Harris and Hermana Feliz, so it was fun to celebrate with them as well. They both got packages from home with presents for their birthdays so they saved them and opened them together. Even though we missed her a lot and wished we could celebrate with her, we were so glad she could celebrate with her mission friends. We are so proud of Lia and all the good things she did in Paraguay! It was not easy, especially in Caaguazu. But, she continued to work hard and do her best every day and her persistence made her a great missionary, sister training leader, disciple of Jesus Christ, and friend to all those who got to know her on the mission.

March

In March, Josh and his friends Joseph and Lincoln went to the Off-Road Expo, I had a lunch with my new Muslim friends at the community center where I volunteered, I worked on a painting project, Ollie played cards with Megan's friends and Josh dressed him up, and Megan made blankets for a student council service project, helped with a school activity, did her homework, and ran for student council for the next year. And then Laura had her first golf tournament of the year in Hurricane. It was a beautiful course and it was fun to watch her! Next I went to "High Tea" at the Grand America with my mom and sisters and then we slept over at Kristen's house. And lastly, we celebrated Lia's birthday long distance, which I will write more about in the next post.
