Megan's First Birthday

Our cute little Megan turned one a few weeks ago. She has gone from a tiny little thing in our arms to: holding up her foot so I can put her shoe on, trying to comb her own hair when she gets a hold of a comb, trying to walk, bolting for the bath as soon as she hears the water running and starting to wave. I love the ways she says "MAM" and the way she loves to snuggle. I also love her smile and her funny little crawl. I love how she loves her dad and her brother and sisters (even when she doesn't want them to hold her). I just moved her from her crib to a toddler bed in hopes that she will sleep better. We are at the end of an era in our family... but I don't want to rush things along too quickly. I'm enjoying my little baby.

The Cabin

A few weeks ago we were invited to our friend's cabin for the weekend. The girls could hardly sleep the night before they were so excited. We had a great time! Lia and Laura were excited to be there with their friends Alexis, Averee and Kenadee, and Josh and his friend Tyler were so cute together!! We rode four wheelers (and in the Rhino and Ranger), got REALLY dirty, painted rocks and got really dirty again, rode four wheelers again, went swimming, and went fishing. I wish a had a picture of the dads: Nate, Skyler and Jeremy. They spend a lot of time together on Sundays and during the week doing their callings, but they also have a lot of fun together. We really appreciate everything they do for him. Nate's been blessed with three great counselors the last three years, and I've been blessed by their three great wives. Thanks for the fun weekend Skyler and Kinslee and Lisa and Jeremy!

Lagoon and Thanksgiving Point

Thanks to Nate's cousin, we took the kids to Lagoon a few weeks ago. The kids had a lot of fun! We went to the water park first, which was my favorite part, and then rode the rides until closing time. Lia loved going on the big rides--I don't know if she's scared of anything! Laura and Josh preferred the smaller rides. I think Josh drove the little cars about six times. They were really cute on the water slides. Every time we'd go down Josh would say, "again, again!" Megan was a really good sport to ride in the stroller all day. For not being a very big fan of Lagoon, we've had a great time with our kids the last couple summers.

Before my sister-in-law Heather went back to Florida with her kids, we went to the gardens at Thanksgiving Point. The kids love being with their cousins, especially when we have some visiting from out of town. Megan had her first ice cream cone after we were all done.
