Three weeks ago Nate was released as the bishop of our ward. He served for four years as the bishop and two years as a counselor before that. I don't know how to describe my feelings about the last four years in particular. They were hard, they were wonderful, they were exhausting, they strengthened our family, they strengthened our marriage, they made us better. We were blessed to be part of an incredible ward and have made friends we hope to keep forever. Even in Utah with family all around us, I feel like we got a little glimpse of how your ward can become your family. Having said that, we couldn't have made it without the support of our families. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity Nate had to serve. As a good friend said of the experience, "I value the lessons I've learned. I cherish the experience. I hope to never repeat it."

I told Nate I wouldn't post this picture on the blog, but I like it so I'm posting it. These were taken the week before he got released. We were so sad the weeks before thinking about everything that would change, but I have to say I am so excited to have this guy back.

April

Nate had some work to do in Ogden so he took Josh and his dad with him and they went to the train museum. Josh loved it!

Easter Sunday at the Nelsons.

The Easter Bunny comes to our house on Saturday and this year he came in the afternoon. He must have forgotten to come in the morning.
We got a surprise visit from Lucy and Sarah that same week. It was great to see them!

Megan loves... whatever she was eating in this picture and her pillow pet.

Lia's hat for the Easter parade at school.
We stayed home over spring break but filled the week up with plenty of activities.

Lia and Laura's restaurant.
Laura lost her first tooth, yea!

Conference Weekend

The first weekend in April Lia got to go to a session of conference with Nate. She turned eight just in time! She was really excited, especially to go with dad. Nate also celebrated his 32nd birthday that weekend. We sure love him!
