Josh loves monster trucks! (I'm pretty sure that started with his uncle Cameron.) So when he and Nate got invited to a monster truck rally with our friends Jeremy and Tyler, he was really excited (although it doesn't look like it in the last two pictures).
I'm pretty sure this was Laura's idea and the rest were eager to join in. Nate was gone this night and we had an early dinner so I told the kids they could "swim" for a little while before showers and bath time. We turned on the Beach Boys and I made smoothies. I feel like so much of the time with my kids I'm the one who kills all the fun ideas because we, or mostly I, have other things to do. So I'm glad on this night I took the time and enjoyed the moment...it was totally worth it!
On our way home, we stopped in Goblin Valley. I had never been there and Nate really wanted to show the kids. They loved it!! We ran around and played hide and seek until the sun went down. It is a little bit out of the way, but it was worth it. I hope the kids had as great of a time as we did on the trip!
