Disneyland-Part 1

Nate and I surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland at the beginning of April. We packed without them knowing and told them that morning that we were going to St. George. When we got to St. George, we told them we weren't really staying there and asked them where else they would like to go. Lia said (almost in passing), "well, I want to go to Disneyland, but I know we can't go there." When we told them that's where we were going, they couldn't believe it. They were so excited! Josh said, "the best day of my life is finally here!" We have video of it that I might post someday, but needless to say, it was pretty cute! The next few hours in the car were no big deal with Disneyland as the final destination.

BYU Football Alumni Day

Every year my dad goes to the BYU Football Alumni Day and invites his sons (in law) and grandsons to go with him. This year Nate and Josh went. I love this picture of Josh.

The Storytelling Festival

Laura was chosen to represent the first grade at her school's storytelling festival. She told the story I'm a Big Sister. She was so cute and did a great job!

Amelia's Birthday

I'm afraid I'm a little behind updating the blog...we celebrated Lia's birthday over two months ago! But, it's never too late to write about my cute Lia. She wanted a luau birthday, so I did my best to oblige. Lia is such a sweetheart! She takes care of Megan, watches out for Laura at school, and tries to help Josh when he's in a bad mood. And Nate and I rely on her A LOT! It's been fun watching her learn to play the piano and soccer. I wish I had her memory and her love of reading. Lia loves throwing parties and trying new things and I don't think she's scared of anything! We love Amelia and are so grateful she's part of our family.
