Mom's Birthday

We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday in December. We had dinner at Tuscany and then went back to my mom and dad's for cake. (I made the cake, but it was seriously leaning by the time this picture was taken.) I am so thankful for my mom. I couldn't have asked for a better mom growing up and I'm grateful for the mom she is now that I'm an adult. She's taught me so much about what it means to be a mother. I love you, mom!

Christmas Concerts and Activities

 Lia and Laura both played in a piano recital in December and did great!

Nate is so sweet to always get flowers for the girls and they were thrilled! Laura didn't let go of her's for the rest of the night.

 Lia also had a Christmas choir concert that night at the school. She had a lot of fun singing with the school choir and I loved hearing them!

 And we had a ward Christmas party.

Laura and Megan waited quite a while after the party to be able to sit on Santa's lap.

 And then Lia had a concert at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The music was beautiful and it was fun to be downtown!

 Making Christmas cookies. I always wished I had an island in my old house for this very reason. I love it!

Spa Nights

 Lia and Laura are really into doing "spa" nights lately. This is Lia and her friend Jane and the next one is Laura and her friend Kenady. They even did one for me! (I'm trying to keep the face stuff from off of my robe in my picture.)
