Lia's Soccer Tournament

We signed Lia up to play for a new soccer team called Tsunami in the fall and spring with her friend Addie. Before the official season started they played in the Adidas Cup tournament. It was her first tournament and she loved every minute of it! She got to play goalie for some of the games. She did a great job and had a lot of fun! And she was thrilled they got a medal for taking second place for their age group in the tournament.

Megan's Birthday Finale

I think Megan's favorite gifts were her new Bitty Baby doll (who she named "Meg") and the princess Belle dress and new pajamas from Aunt Lulu. She was so excited about everything and was really cute! Megan is at a fun age. She's able to do a lot of things on her own, but she still wants to snuggle and says things like "posed to" instead of "supposed to" and "puter" instead of "computer." Megan loves to play house and loves being the mom. She is very cute with Meg, and before Meg it was her bunny or her doll Nunu. She carries her babies everywhere and feeds them, wraps them up, and rocks them to sleep. Megan also loves riding her bike and roller blading. She's definitely the baby of the family, but she's a good sport about things too and will often tell me, "it's fine" meaning, "don't worry about it mom, I'm good." She likes to do what the big kids are doing and will imitate what they say like, "I'm so serious!" I love her hugs and kisses and I love the time we get to spend together while the big kids are at school. We love Megan!

Megan's Birthday--Part 2

Megan's actual birthday started out a little rough...While I was rolling her hair up in curlers, she touched my curling iron and burned her hand. I felt terrible! I would have felt terrible anyway, but I especially did on her birthday! She cried for quite a while and I decided to keep her home from church. She kept it on some ice to open her presents and Lia helped distract her throughout the day. By the time everyone came over that night for her family party, she was doing pretty well, thankfully. 

Megan's Birthday

Megan's 4th Birthday was on a Sunday, so she celebrated with her friends the Saturday before. Being the youngest and the last one to have a birthday for the year, she was more than excited! It was a flower birthday party, so we decorated and planned games around that. She was so cute with her friends and I'm pretty sure she had a great time!

Laura's Tonsil Surgery

Laura had to get her tonsils out in August. She did great! She was uncomfortable for about a week, but was such a good sport about it! The alligator came from our friend Jennifer Fix and the hospital gave her the blanket. 

Our last night in South Dakota

On our last night there we went to a chuck wagon dinner. The girls all wanted a cowboy hat for their souvenir so they could wear it to the dinner. It was a lot of fun and the kids liked the other activities there too. And, we went swimming in the hotel pool one more time. They all loved the pool! It was a great trip, from start to finish. I think my favorite part was Martin's Cove. I'm grateful we were able to go. It's always great to spend time with the kids and see different parts of the country.
