Laura's Birthday

We started Laura's birthday celebrations with a party with the Nelsons on Friday night. Then on Saturday morning, she had a "Pancakes and Pampering" party with her friends. We had pancakes, painted nails and did spa masks. And as anyone knows, any spa is not complete without cucumbers and spa music. Lia and Laura are experts when it comes to anything "spa." Someday I'll have to take them to a real one.

May

In May, Megan did her animal project at school. She chose a skunk! She also had fun growing some plants at school. Lia's class threw her teacher a baby shower that I got to help with. Josh started mowing the lawn, which he was really excited about. And, we found a  new house in Highland that we were all really excited about!

More from April

Also in April, Laura had an Activity Days recognition night where she had a part in the program and she also accompanied her class singing "A Child's Prayer." She did a great job! I also got released from my calling as a counselor in the Young Women's presidency and the girls had a farewell breakfast for me and the other leaders that were also moving and being released. I was really sad about being released. I loved that calling and I loved being with Lia for the short time we were together. But, there will be new opportunities in our new house. We also lost our Leopard Gecko, Geckon. He got sick and even though we tried, we couldn't make him better. The kids were so sad about it. Josh wanted to take him to our new house and bury him there. But, we decided we couldn't wait that long so we buried him in the backyard and everyone said their good-byes. And lastly, we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.

April

At the beginning of April, we babysat some friends from our ward, we decorated eggs, dressed up, and played with friends and cousins.

Josh and Megan

I love this picture, especially because they don't always love being together during the day. I hope times like this mean they'll be great friends when they're older, even if they aren't now.

Spring Break Finale

And we ended the week at our friends the Reich's cabin with a few other families from our ward. We had a great time! We played games, went on four wheeler rides, explored the town of Schofield, went fishing at the reservoir, and put pennies on the rail road tracks and waited for the train.

Spring Break Continued

And then we went swimming with my sisters and their kids at the Legacy Center...
