Spring Break--Part 4

Next we explored the tide pools at the beach. It was rainy and a little cold, but still really cool. I think Nate and Josh could've stayed all day. And from there we went to the Angels game. We took the kids to one several years ago when Josh was a baby but haven't been back since. It was a lot of fun! We managed to pack a lot in to what was a very fun day!

Spring Break--Part 3

We left Las Vegas and drove to California to see Darren and Sarah. We had a great time with them! It was fun to see the kids and their house and hang out with them for a few days. The girls got pedicures while the boys played games. The next day we drove to Balboa Island, had lunch and rented bikes and road along the boardwalk.

Spring Break--Part 2

We had a lot of fun in Las Vegas. It has never been my favorite place to visit, but this time was different. It felt a little cleaner and more family friendly. We met up with the Strouds to play games, ride the roller coaster (Lia had been begging to ride it since the moment we got there), see some of the sights and go to dinner. Megan couldn't ride the roller coaster so she choose to ride a simulator instead. I think it was scarier than the roller coaster! (And Lia's phone fell out of her pocket on the roller coaster. They found it, but it was broken.) We also saw some sights on our own and went to the Hoover Dam. We had never been there and it was pretty impressive!

Spring Break--Part 1

For Spring Break we took a trip with Kent and Janet to Las Vegas and then down to California to see Darren and Sarah and their family. We stayed at a fun hotel in Las Vegas that had a great pool. And what made it even more fun was being able to meet up with some friends down there: Vince and Susan and their family (we knew they were going to be down there) and Megan and Laura's friends Ella and Juliette (they were staying in the same hotel). Everyone had a friend to swim with for those first few days we were in Vegas (even Lia because Vince and Susan had their niece Julia with them who's Lia's age).

Nate's Birthday

Nate really is the unsung hero in our family. He does so much for us without any recognition. I am so grateful for the good dad he is and for his desire to always put the kids' needs and wants ahead of his own. I am also so grateful for the good husband he is. He takes better care of me than I do of him and I will forever be thankful that he makes it possible for me to stay home with our kids. He's had a particularly stressful year at work and he's dealt with it better than he thinks he has. I appreciate how hard he works, his sense of humor, and his dedication to the gospel. We know we have been greatly blessed as a family and I know I have been greatly blessed to have him as my husband.

Easter

We celebrated Easter at our house and at the Nelson's. We missed the rest of Nate's family, but it was a nice day. Megan lost a tooth that same week and although it has nothing to do with Easter, I thougtht I should include that.
