End of April

Megan finished reading her Book of Mormon reader and started on a new one. She also had crazy hair day at school, which she did herself. Josh spent a lot of time hanging out with his friends and finding new ways to get around. I went to Thanksgiving Point with the relief society (there were only 5 of us, which was not awesome given that I planned it, but we did get to rent a golf cart because there were so few of us). I went on a field trip with Megan's class to the Bean Museum at BYU. Nate went camping with the Deacons and had a great time (he even got to watch the Jazz game out in the middle of the desert thanks to one of the other leaders who had a generator and a TV in his trailer). Lia and Laura had lots of soccer games (as they get older they are more and more fun to watch) and Josh started getting the hang of Lacrosse. He is also a lot of fun to watch. And finally, we had a great time watching the Jazz in the playoffs. For the first time since we've been married, I was sad when the playoffs were over.

The Rest of Spring Break and Easter

The kids and I manged to keep busy during spring break while Nate was gone. We went bowling with the Elmers (who were also on spring break), played with old friends (Megan's friend Chloie), had our friends the Thaynes over for a visit, and went swimming with the Farmers. Also towards the end of the week, my sisters and I went to see Kathie in Logan. She had surgery earlier in the week and was not doing well. She went to the ER and was then taken my ambulance back to Salt Lake where her surgery was. She was in really bad shape and I was so glad we were able to go see her. She spent the next week in the hospital but was finally able to go home and is slowly recovering. Anyway, back to spring break: Nate took care of some business in Atlanta and then he got to go to the Master's Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. He loved it! Even though he is not a huge golf fan, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and he loved every minute of it! (He brought us all back some souvenirs including the umbrellas Megan and Josh are playing with.) That weekend, we spent Easter Sunday at the Nelsons where the kids loved the Easter egg hunt with their cousins. And I loved the Easter Lilly Nate got me. I've always wanted one and it was beautiful!

Spring Break

For spring break, we took a quick little trip up to Park City for the weekend. Nate had to go out of town for most of the next week while the kids were out of school, so we tried to pack in as much as we could before he left. We went swimming, tubing and skiing and also spent some time with the Nelsons because it was Nate's birthday and General Conference that weekend too. The place we rented was a little dumpy, but we had a really fun weekend playing, watching conference and celebrating Nate's birthday!
