Amelia's Sweet Sixteen

For Lia's 16th Birthday, Lia and Laura and Megan and I went downtown and stayed in The Grand America Hotel with three of Lia's good friends: Kyla, Camilla and Julia. A guy in our ward works there and got us a great deal on a couple of rooms. It was so fun! The girls rode scooters, went shopping and to dinner, went swimming, and got ice cream at the only place in town still open at 11:00 pm. Lia and her friends had their own room and I don't know if they slept at all! The next morning we had breakfast and did some more shopping before heading home. I hope Lia had a fun time because we loved celebrating with her!

One more from February

I got to go to youth conference with Lia and Laura at Aspen Grove. Josh went to go a Jazz Game with Nate where they rented scooters on their way to the arena. And we had a great lesson from Lia for our "Come Follow Me" family study.

End of February

At the end of February, we skied at Deer Valley, Josh and I spent the day together, I took Lia and her friends Eric and Alexa to the temple with my friend Amie (Eric's mom--they just moved back from France), and Nate visited Liberty Jail while on a business trip to Missouri.

Wicked

We got the kids tickets to Wicked for Christmas for the end of February. They loved it and I loved seeing it again. It was fun to be with them and to be downtown...we don't go down there as often as we used to. We even got Josh to wear jeans. We rode scooters to dinner afterward. It was such a fun day!

Valentine's Day

As I'm sure I write every year, I love Valentine's Day! I love the boxes, the red and pink, the hearts and flowers, and a reason to celebrate!

February

In February, Megan had her home gym gymnastics meet, we had some of my siblings over for the super bowl and cooked our first brisket on the Traeger (it was huge!), Megan and her friend Hannah went sledding, Nate made Josh's dreams come true and got him a fixer upper go-cart (Josh was SO excited!!), Megan had another gymnastics meet where she cleaned up on medals (she went to the medal stand several times which is why there are so many pictures), and Josh's deacons class celebrated reading the Book of Mormon with an ice cream party.
