May

Lia and her friends went on their senior trip in May. They put their money together and rented a cabin in Brianhead (with a chaperone) and hiked and played for a few days. They had a great time! And Nate went bone fishing at a remote fishing camp in the Bahamas with some of his coworkers and some potential investors. It happened to fall over Mother's Day, which was not my favorite weekend to have him gone, but it was an amazing trip! Next Megan and her friends Hannah and Samara played and Josh and Megan did some bee keeping at Darren and Sarah's. Josh had been dying to get bees for a couple years and we finally did thanks to some help from Darren Sarah who got us started and provided a place to keep the bees. And Megan and Lia took some very serious selfies which I'm including here because they look so much alike in them. And then I got a cute picture of Lia and Laura, Lia and her friends got donuts, we helped my mom throw a shower for my niece Katelynn, and Lia and her friends went to their Hawaiian themed senior dinner dance. Next we had Lia's seminary graduation and my Dad's 70th birthday party. It was such a great night! Almost everyone was able to come (we missed Kathie and Mike and their family) and we had a really nice night celebrating my Dad. And Lastly, I had to include these pictures of Josh showing Tanner how to play the guitar, Megan's bear Fuzzy who we bring whenever we stay overnight somewhere, and Ollie.

Laura's Birthday

Laura's sweet sixteen was spread out over several days and was a lot of fun! We started with an overnighter in Park City with her friends and Lia and Megan. It was a really fun night and I was so glad Lia and Megan were there too. Next, we celebrated with the Nelsons at a park in Salt Lake. We picked up tacos, sang happy birthday and played kick soccer. When the day finally came, we opened presents and she went to school and as soon as she got out of school, we got her drivers license. She was so excited! My dad came over for a visit that day too and we had her favorite dinner. The next day we celebrated with a cinco de mayo party with her friends. It was mostly put on by Nate and turned out so great!

There are so many reasons to celebrate Laura! She is motivated and disciplined and so thoughtful. She's a good friend and sister and daughter. She loves Taylor Swift, Costa Vida, hanging out with her friends, playing the piano, and organizing. She's always great about helping me, is a great car DJ and is Josh's buddy. We are so grateful for Laura and love her very much!
