Graduation

Lia's graduation day was a really great day! Her friend Eric came over and rode with us to the graduation. We hit some traffic on the way there so we were running a little later than we would've liked (much later than Lia would have liked), but Lia and Eric made it there in time to meet up with their friends (after some running and a little bit of panic which I felt terrible about). It was fun to see her walk across the stage with her friends. Janet and Kent and my Mom came to the graduation ceremony and then we invited all our families over afterward for lunch. Janet and Kent, my Mom and Dad and almost all of her aunts and uncles came. It was so nice of everyone to support her! My Dad put an emergency kit together for her for college that he spent a lot of time on. It was so thoughtful of him and Lia was excited about it. That night we went to a little party with her friends' families. We were able to get pictures of all of them and meet any parents we hadn't already met. We then left them to celebrate on their own. Lia found a really, really great group of friends and I'm so grateful for the influence they have been and still are on her. It was such a nice day to celebrate her and all the things she's accomplished so far in her life.

End of May

At the end of May, Megan had her dance festival at school (she's a good dancer!), Josh had a covid friendly guitar recital (he played great!), Megan and I got snow cones and got one for Ollie too, Josh got his covid vaccine, Laura decided to start teaching piano lessons, and Josh played his guitar and sang in Mountain Ridge's end of the year Variety Show. He was amazing! He decided to try out playing his guitar all on his own and then decided to sing also. He performed "Blackbird" by the Beatles and it was awesome! Next Megan had her 6th grade graduation (she looked so pretty and so grown up!) and everyone had their last day of school (Josh must not have wanted his picture taken). And Lastly, Janet had a little graduation party for Lia at our family dinner. She is so great!
