End of June Activities

At the end of June, we got to have the Cowleys over for a night while Korinne and Brian were on a cruise, we went to the Lehi Round Up parade with them, we played at grandma Nelson's and we saw Katie and Scott's new baby Preston.

Kohler, Wisconsin

At the end of June, Nate and I took a trip to Kohler, Wisconsin. He was invited to a customer appreciation event at The American Club in Wisconsin and I got to tag along. It is beautiful there! I had never been to Wisconsin before and didn't know quite what to expect. It was so much prettier than I imagined! We flew in to Chicago (where I also had never been and wanted to visit) and had lunch there before driving to Wisconsin. Nate attended meetings and went golfing at Whistling Straits Golf Course while I went to the Kohler Waters Spa and read and relaxed. It was incredible! I hope someday to make it back there. Next time though I'll spend a little more time with Nate.

Girls Camp

I went to girls camp with our ward in June and had a great time! We stayed at a cabin in Schofield and did crafts, hiked, went the Manti Pageant, and had a great testimony meeting to end the week. I never like leaving my family, but I love my calling serving in the Young Women's program.

June

Lia, her friend Jane, Laura, and Megan had a lemonade stand. Lia got some high tops she's been wanting forever. I changed a tire on our van for the first time ever (I was so proud of myself I took a picture). Megan had a traumatic experience at the dentist that resulted in her being put to sleep and getting to take home a bag of stuff including the mask and the blanket. We went to a splash pad with the Nelson cousins and Katie and her kids (that's Josh with Landon and Megan sunbathing with Audrey). Megan asked me to take a picture of her doing just about everything--including climbing the fridge. And finally, we had my dad over for breakfast on Father's Day and the kids made him a candy bar card.

Josh

 Josh played baseball again in the spring with his friend Carson. He loves to play and loves to practice, too, with Nate in the backyard. He also started reading the Boxcar Children this year on his own, which was what he was doing in these pictures when he fell asleep. Josh is really great at playing with his younger cousins. He was playing basketball at grandma's with Austin in these pictures. And finally, Josh LOVES to fish with Nate. Nate took him down to the Jordan River late one night to go fishing for Catfish with some guys from our old ward. He was so excited and felt like such a big kid to be able to go. And, he caught one which made it even better!
