Horseshoe Bay
After Lynn Canyon, we stopped at Horseshoe Bay to see the tide pools. It was also beautiful and the kids had a fun time exploring.

Lynn Canyon
On our way to the second part of our trip in Whistler, we stopped at Lynn Canyon Park. It has a pretty cool suspension bridge and is a great place to hike and swim (if you dare--it's pretty cold!). After our short hike to the water and watching everyone else jump in, Nate, Laura, Josh and Megan decided they couldn't resist. We had swimming suits in the car, but they jumped in in their clothes because the walk back to the car was just a little too far. Nate and Laura jumped from pretty high up on the rocks. It was pretty awesome. The water was cold enough to take your breath away, but they kept jumping anyway. It was a long walk back to the car, but they got changed and we drove to our next stop. Lynn Canyon was beautiful!

Vancouver Island
On my birthday, we took a ferry to Vancouver Island. Vancouver Island was the reason I wanted to go to Canada, so I guess it was fitting we went on my birthday. We found a ward right by where the ferry landed (which was great...we weren't going to stay for the whole block, but sacrament meeting was so good and the members were so nice, we decided to stay) and then drove down to Victoria. We walked around and saw all the ships and the Parliament building and called it good. From there we drove to Butchart Gardens where we spent the rest of the day. The Gardens were beautiful and, for me at least, made the trip to the island totally worth it. Nate stopped at a bakery on our way back to the ferry and got some birthday treats for the ride back. It was a really great day and I loved spending it with my family!
