Nelson and Barson Christmas Parties

A few days before Christmas we had Nate's family Christmas party with the Spendloves at Cameron and Sarah's house. We sang songs, ate and played games. It was a lot of fun! Then we had my mom's Christmas Eve party. We had good food, a good story, and the nativity, of course. It was a great night! I am so thankful for our families and the times we have together.

Getting Ready for Christmas

The week before Christmas we had our "Christmas Eve" dinner, which this year included a Yule log. I've always wanted to make one and I finally did. It turned out pretty good. I love our dinner before Christmas and the kids look forward to it too. We also had Josh's guitar concert and sing a long. It was a lot of fun and Josh played great! Next, Megan made plans for a Christmas party with her friends. And we had a visit from my dad and an overnight visit from Nate's cousin Jed and his cute family. We went to Luminaria with them at Thanksgiving Point. I hope everyone else liked it as much as I did!

December

December is always a crazy month, but I love it! Megan decided she wanted to climb the fireplace when we were setting up the Christmas tree, Nate and I went to Peak's Christmas party (which Nate was chosen to be the MC for), I went on Megan's field trip to the state capital, Nate and Josh went to the movies and made us pizza on the Traeger, my oldest nephew Matthew returned home from his mission in Mexico, Laura had her Christmas choir concert, Lia experienced her first drive through, Laura had her Christmas piano recital, and Megan practiced her bubble gum blowing skills.

End of November/Beginning of December

Thanksgiving weekend we spent a couple nights in Park City. We went to dinner, went to the movies, and went to the tree lighting and parade on Main Street. It was a really fun weekend! Then Josh and I went to our Jazz game together. He was really fun to go with! And he was really excited about getting on TV at the end of the game. Next, Megan worked hard on her clay sculpture and I wanted to remember it. Then Nate had a work conference in St. Augustine, Florida. And lastly, Laura had to dress up for an event at school.
