Valentine's Day
I love Valentine's Day! It's a lame holiday, but I love the red and pink and having a reason to celebrate. We normally do a dinner at home with the kids. This year we did breakfast too and I got to help with Josh and Megan's class parties.
February
At the beginning of February, Laura and Ainsley did a monologue at school, Lia and Emily discovered they like to bake and made the first of many desserts: mini apple pies, Lia made a vest for Laura in her sewing class, we had ice cream sundaes to celebrate all the kids getting good grades, and Megan celebrated her half birthday at school.

Ski Days
We tried to get as many ski days in as possible during January and February. I might actually be getting a little better--I can almost keep up with the kids now. The last picture is from our first night skiing night where Nate and Lia talked all of us into doing a black diamond. It might be the easiest black diamond ever, but we all did it!
End of January Continued
The kids all celebrated the 100th day of school. Lia and Megan both got to dress up like 100 year olds (our best version of it anyway). We also had a visit from Zach that day who was on his way to the temple for his 12th birthday. And on the day when Nate was replacing a toilet in our house, Megan and Laura decided to help him by starting their own toilet fixing business. And finally, while Josh played at a friends, Nate told Lia and Laura they could go see a movie with their friends (Olivia, Emily, Ainsley and Deja). We dropped them off for their first outing with just them and their friends--no parents. They were so excited, and so was Megan who got to go with them.
End of January
At the end of the month, Lia finished her sewing project from her sewing class--a really cute "hobo" bag, Megan held strong on not sucking her thumb anymore--even at night, Megan had plenty of play dates with her friend Maleah, and Josh created and built all kinds of things!

January
We started the year with Megan wanting to stop sucking her thumb. She'd wanted to stop before but was having a hard time so she agreed to let Nate paint some yucky stuff on her thumbs every night to help her stop. It was a rough couple of weeks, but she did it! She was so brave and we were so proud of her! She was also able to ride her new bike after the snow melted and was so excited about it. She looks like such a big girl when she rides it. And, we had a party at the church with Kent's family.
Provo Beach Resort
Before Cameron, Sarah, Lucy and Nora went back to Sinapore we decided to have one last get together. We went to Provo Beach Resort and tried out the flow rider and went to dinner. It is always fun having them here and we're always sad when it's time for them to go back. I didn't try the flow rider, but the kids and Nate had a great time! Even Kent got in on the fun.
