August Happenings

In the middle of August, we got to volunteer at the church farm in Lindon. Laura was at her soccer game for the first part, but joined us later. Lia and Megan and I washed and sorted vegetables while Josh and Nate picked vegetables. Afterward we got a tour of the Bishop's storehouse. It was pretty cool and strengthened my testimony of the role of the church in helping the poor. Next, Lia got her braces off! She was so excited and looked pretty before and even prettier after! Also in August, our neighbor and friend Malia got home from her mission. She was Josh's primary teacher before she left and Josh was so excited she was home. And speaking of neighbors, our other neighbor Sam brought over his pet snake and everyone who wanted to got a chance to hold it (including me!). And lastly (after another cute picture of Lia), the girls and I went back to school shopping and checked out where Laura's new locker will be at the junior high.  We had a fun day together and Josh was so happy he didn't have to  go.
