Halloween 2017

This year for Halloween we had Mary Poppins, an inflatable Dinosaur, Rosy the Riveter (Laura was popcorn for my mom's Halloween party and then changed her mind about what she wanted to be), and an ice cream cone. They were so cute!

Middle of October

Kent and Megan did some family history in October, we got new thermals for ski season that the kids were excited to try on, Josh tried to make his bike sound a little cooler (I love that about him), Lia finished up her soccer season, and we got my old American Girl Doll Molly back from the doll hospital. She is now Megan's doll and she was crushed when her arm fell off so we sent her to the hospital. All of my girls were excited to get her back in her hospital gown and bracelet, but Megan was the most excited!

Capitol Reef National Park

For fall break we went to Capitol Reef National Park with Cam and Sarah and their family. It was our first time trying out our "new" trailer. We loved it! The first night was great. The second night it got really windy and cold. Because it was so windy, we couldn't spend the time to figure out how the heater worked. So, it was pretty chilly that night. But, we survived and replaced the pole that bent in the wind. We saw petroglyphs while we were there and went four wheeling in our Sequoia. It got a few scratches, and got high centered on a hill at one point (it took about an hour of trying and a little push from Cam's truck to get it unstuck, but we did it), but overall it did awesome on the trail! Nate and Lia LOVED it while it made Laura, Josh and Megan and me a little nervous. All in all, it was a great trip! Capitol Reef is beautiful, it was really fun trying out the trailer, and we had a great time with Cam, Sarah, Lucy, Nora and Patrick.

October Activities

In mid October we had: Grandma Nelson's Halloween party, a scouts pumpkin carving contest, play dates with friends, and a trip to Gardner Village with the Barson cousins.
