Megan turned 11 on August 11th. She wanted to help make the cake the day before and her friend Hannah came over to help too. We had a fun day celebrating. Nate was in Alaska with his Dad and his brothers so he sent Megan a treat. He felt bad missing it, but she was so excited about the special delivery! Megan wanted to play minute to win it games and have pizza for her party with her friends. She did a great job getting it organized and it was a lot of fun! Lucy and Nora and Audrey came too and Lucy and Nora got to spend the night. They had fun with the window markers Megan got from my dad and got snow cones the next day. A few days later, we celebrated with the Nelsons at Janet's.
Megan is so fun to be around! And her excitement is contagious. She loves to talk, do gymnastics, jump on the tramp, hang out with friends and cousins, and watch veterinarian shows. She loves animals and loves to remind us that she's going to work at the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica when she's older. Megan is very thoughtful and sensitive. She writes very sweet cards and notes and uses her own money to get gifts for us on our birthdays and Christmas, which is not the norm in our family. She's also a great friend and the first to help the kids in her class at school that need extra help or that need a friend. We are so grateful for Megan!
