For spring break we went to Kanab. It was Ollie's first road trip and the kids were really excited about taking him, especially Megan. We had passed through Kanab before, but this was our first trip there and we had a lot of fun. There are a lot of great restaurants there and it's close-ish to a lot of cool places. The only downside is there aren't a lot of places to mountain bike there, so we had to drive a little ways to do that. But we did get a good mountain bike ride in and we hung out with our neighbors the Bronsons who came down to hike and dirt bike with us. And in the middle we squeezed in a trip to the Grand Canyon. We hadn't been there since before we had kids and Nate really wanted to go see it with the kids. It was beautiful and a fun day trip. We ended the week with Janet and Kent. They came to spend a couple days with us down there. We rented a RZR and divided up between the RZR and the truck and went on a ride to a slot canyon and some Indian ruins. I drove the RZR with Janet, Lia, and Megan, and Nate, Kent, Josh, and Laura rode in the truck. It was so fun! I had ridden in a RZR before and didn't love it, but driving was a totally different experience! It was so beautiful and so fun to have Janet and Kent with us. We ended the trip with a drive up Johnson Canyon Road and a stop at a German Cafe on the way home. The kids were exhausted and Nate hurt his leg pretty bad loading the dirt bikes in the truck, but it was a great trip! (Also, Nate and Lia and I got vaccinated while we were down there because their cute little drug store had openings. It was such a big deal to get a vaccine that I thought I should document it.)
