Later in May

Later in May, Nate went to the Bahamas on a work trip to go bone fishing. It was an amazing trip and he was excited he got to go! I was relieved when he got home--it was several flights on tiny planes with little communication (and it happened to be over Mother's Day weekend which I wasn't thrilled about), so I was grateful when he got home safely. Also, Laura went to the state golf tournament. She wasn't playing, but she was excited to go cheer on her teammates. They won and took State which was really exciting to be a part of. Next we had the Elmers over to hang out and hot tub, Laura showed Ollie some love, Megan got ready for her dance performance at school, and I went to lunch with my sisters and Kathie and I had to take a picture with our matching outfits and hair.  

 

May

Next in May, Laura played in another tournament (it was great to watch her play and improve her skills), Laura took lunch to Josh and Megan at school, Ollie hung out on Laura's bed waiting for her to wake up, Lia and Ashley took some time to stop and smell the flowers at Darren and Sarah's, Josh got the long awaited for honey he worked really hard for at Darren and Sarah's, and Laura practiced her photography skills at Darren and Sarah's. 

Laura's 17th Birthday

We celebrated Laura's 17th birthday by going shopping and to lunch and that night we had cake and ice cream. That weekend her friends planned a surprise party for her at her friend Madelyn's house. We tried to throw her off by letting HER plan a hot dog roast up the canyon for that night with her friends, but instead Ella and Madelyn came and blindfolded her and took her to Madelyn's. It was an awesome party, complete with a DJ, and Laura had a great time!

We love everything about this Dancing Queen! She's really into Taylor Swift, Costa Vida, Dr. Pepper, and cleaning out the car (which I love). She is fun to be around, is kind to everyone, and is dedicated and helpful. I love hearing her play the piano and watching her improve her golf skills. She's the party organizer and the friend everyone always wants to talk to. And I know I can always count on her do what is right and to be there for me and others when we need her. We love Laura!

Daniel

 In May we had Nate's good friend Daniel from his mission come to visit us again. He spent the day with us, came to church, and took a lot of pictures. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible that day, but we still got a lot of great pictures and it was so nice to see him again!
