For spring break, we took the new land cruiser down to Moab to do some off roading. Megan and I were a little nervous (or a lot nervous), but we were trying to be good sports about it. Josh got to meet Matt from "Matt's Off Road Recovery" (twice it turned out), we went swimming, and hiked to Corona Arch. It was the fastest hike Josh has ever done because he knew we were going off roading afterward. On our second off roading trip, everything was going great until after lunch. We had climbed some really steep rocks and bounced around plenty, but it was on a simple flat spot that our tire came flying off. The bolts were completely sheered off! We hiked back down to the main road and called Matt (from Matt's Off Road Recovery) and he went and fixed it. Nate and Josh drove back up in our truck to meet them and caught them right as they were finishing. We were so grateful they were able to fix it...Josh was so upset about it and we also didn't want to leave the car down in Moab. We finished the trip with a mountain bike ride (Laura and I were the good sports this time--it was hard!) where Josh was able to use the winch on the car afterward to help someone that was stuck (he was so excited!) and a little hike to Indian Latter before heading home.
