Christmas Eve fell on a Sunday this year, so we had breakfast at my Mom and Steve's and went skiing on Saturday and picked up Chinese food that night instead of going out. We also opened a gift from Lia that night, which was a little rock nativity, and made sugar cookies. The next morning on Christmas Eve we went to church and then went to see the windows at the Grand America and went to Janet and Kent's that night. When we got home, we opened our Christmas pajamas and got ready for bed. My favorite part of Christmas morning, besides seeing the kids excited about their presents, was watching Nate open his present from me. He had wanted a new temple bag for years, but he didn't actually want a new one--he wanted an old fashioned one with hard sides and I found one online. It was made in the 1940s and smelled like it was made in the 1940s. He loved it! I was so excited that he was excited! We had my Dad and Dana over for breakfast later that morning and we got to talk to Lia. This Christmas was way better than the last for her--partly because she had done it already and partly because we knew she was coming home so soon. We went to Janet and Kent's again that night with all of the Nelsons. We missed Lia a lot, but it was a great Christmas!
