My 40th Birthday

Somehow I turned 40 in August. Nate and the kids made it a very special birthday. Josh was super excited to show me how my new Apple Watch worked and Nate I'm pretty sure found satisfaction in any embarrassment I received from the not one, but two signs he made and put out on both sides of our yard. That day we went on a hike up at Alta (which was my choice and no one could protest since it was my birthday), went to a new Italian restaurant I'd been wanting to try (which was fabulous) and then ended the night with cake while we watched a video Nate put together of all our family and friends wishing me a happy birthday. It was so, so sweet of him and the kids to put everything together like they did. The next night, Nate invited some of our friends over to eat the other cake he got. I might have thrown a little bit of a fit over not having the party that Nate and I talked about doing for my birthday (we just couldn't find a weekend when everyone would be in town), but what Nate and the kids did for me was even better! I am one lucky lady! As far as being 40 goes, it doesn't freak me out too much. I am so grateful to be healthy and happy and I love the stage of life I am in!
