October

In October Josh had recovered enough to race in his last mountain bike race. He gave it everything he had and did an awesome job! Josh also had fun with his cousins at Grandma Nelson's house. Also, Megan had a GRIT mountain bike party at our house and Laura had a surprise party for Madelyn at our house. And I tried to make the best of my new hair color. It wasn't supposed to be jet black, but unfortunately that's how it turned out. I guess that's what you get when you try to help a friend out in beauty school.

Minga

Lia hit her two month mark in Minga. And she had her first baptisms. She loved this family and was so excited to see Michael and Mechely get baptized! The boy who baptized them was the one and only priest in their ward and Lia was so impressed with him and Michael and Mechely. She also had her first zone conference, worked a lot on her Spanish, learned to like Mate, and walked a lot of miles in the rain.  

End of September

At the end of September Laura went to a BYU football game with her friend Madelyn's family. And Josh had a really bad crash on his mountain bike when we were riding as a family, which meant he would miss another mountain bike race (he was really sick for the first one). He was pretty banged up, got a concussion, and broke his bike, but we were so grateful he wasn't hurt worse. Next, Megan made a giant chutes and ladders game for student council. We made a practice one at Janet and Kent's and decided to make it on a tarp for school. It took her a really, really long time, but it turned out great! Next, Ollie hung out in his favorite spot. And Megan did great in her last mountain bike race of the season in Price! And Laura went to homecoming with her friend Drex. She looked so pretty and had a fun time with all her friends! Lastly, Nate and I went to a concert and we picked out pumpkins.
