Lia loved her time in the Mexico MTC, but was definitely ready to move on near the end. A few days before she left, her friend Ellie arrived and they were so excited to see each other! Her last day there, she got to go to the temple. Nate and I also went to the temple that day. After she left on her mission, I always felt closer to her when I went to the temple. On that day, the temple workers said they wanted to double check the family names I brought to make sure they hadn't already been done. I'd never had that happen before and have not since. One of them had already been done--that same day in the Mexico City Temple. Lia had taken that same name to the temple that day. I knew it was Heavenly Father's way of letting me know he was aware of me and aware of Lia. I was missing Lia a lot and was worried about her getting to Paraguay. I felt so much comfort after that experience.
