On Christmas Eve we had breakfast at my Mom and Steve's, went skiing, and went out for Chinese with some of the Nelsons (I don't have pictures of any of those things, unfortunately). When we got home that night, the kids opened their pajamas and Nate and I managed to get a picture of what Santa brought in the early hours of the morning. Christmas was on Sunday and we had early church so we decided to go to church before we opened presents. We snuck the kids out and then snuck them back in again and the girls at least changed back into their pajamas before going down to see what Santa brought. Lia called not long after and opened her presents with us on the phone. It was good to talk to her, but we could tell she was having a little bit of a hard time and was missing home. We had my Dad and Dana over for brunch and then went to Janet and Kent's that night. Laura played the piano, Josh played his guitar, Megan played her cello, and we did the nativity. It was a nice night. Over the break, I sent a picture to Janet of the new sweatsuit she gave me, we put Megan's new chair together, Megan built mini gingerbread houses, Laura and Josh and Megan finished opening their grow animals, we did a virtual sky dying activity as a family, and we hung out at Janet and Kent's.
