Girls Camp

The last week in June, Lia went to girls camp with our old ward. I was really hoping to still be in the ward and to be going with her, but things didn't work out that way. But, even though I was sad that I didn't get to go with her or the other leaders and girls I worked with in that ward, I was really glad she got to go. Our new ward's camp was on a weekend we were going to be out of town and since she went to all the activities in the old ward to get ready for camp before we moved, they invited her to go with them. She was really excited, especially to be going with her friends Emily and Emeri. I was nervous about sending her off for a few days without us or any family with her, but she did great and had a fabulous time! And, she did have a few "moms" there looking out for her (Tiffany, Melissa, and Michele) who sent me pictures and a quick message letting me know how she was doing, which I really appreciated! Also, that last week of June, Laura went to activity days day camp with our new ward. She was excited to go too and had a fun day. I was really grateful for people looking out for her also--she got put in a group of older girls that she didn't know at all and they were great with her and helped her feel welcome.
