Mexico

Once they got over the shock of the surprise, the kids were excited about Mexico. Even Josh came around to the idea a little bit. And once we got down there, they were really excited. They loved the never ending pina coladas by the pool and the "order whatever you want" at the restaurants. And our day spent at Chichen Itza, a cenote, and Ek Balam was so great! The kids were more interested in the ruins than I had hoped they would be and swimming in the cenote (a hidden underground pool of water) was really cool. We didn't take our phones down there so we don't have any pictures from inside, but it was fun. Chichen Itza was really cool and Ek Balam was amazing! You can climb on the ruins there and the carvings that were only recently uncovered were so cool! We wore the kids out that day and no one could stay awake on the way back to the hotel.
