Lia took a sewing class a year ago and ever since then it's been hard to pry her away from her sewing machine. Nate and I have come home late from dates more than once to the hum of the sewing machine going upstairs after everyone else was asleep. She saved up her babysitting money and bought a serger. For six months she worked on making things for a boutique she wanted to have. She made skirts, pillows and bags and enlisted the help of her friends Colette and Kylie to get ready for the boutique. I posted her flier on Facebook and Instagram and she spread the word to her friends. Laura and Megan sold cookies and served hot chocolate to everyone who came. There was a great turnout! I was so grateful to everyone who came and so proud of Lia for all her hard work! When she wants to do something, she won't stop until she does it. She is so determined and so full of ideas and I love her for it!
